1. You can’t get sick from receiving treatment!

One thing you cant get is getting sick from reiki. When you receive a treatment, you are putting your life force energy back into your body.

When you get treatment, the healer is not actually giving their own personal energy to you; they are channeling universal healing and sending it right back at you! You can’t get sick from receiving treatment, but you may feel very tired after a session.

You will know if the reiki is working for your body because many people have reported feeling heat or tingling during sessions! If this does not happen to you while getting Reiki, don’t worry- there are other ways it can help you!

You can also choose to receive treatment from someone who is not Reiki certified, but we definitely recommend that you go for the real deal.

It may cost more money and time than just going to your local massage therapist or acupuncturist, but it’s worth it because of all the benefits reiki has to offer!

You can also give yourself Reiki treatments. There are many ways to do this, including laying your hands on or near different parts of the body, having someone else use reiki for you, and visualizing reiki coming through you.

Either way is fine by us because it does not matter if you receive treatment from a Reiki practitioner, an Usui Reiki Master, or anyone else.

It is the energy that matters most! The only time you are not allowed to receive reiki sessions from someone who is not certified in your state is when you are pregnant due to safety reasons. This does NOT mean however those people cannot do their best to support you!

2. It’s not about healing, it’s about balancing the flow of energy in your body!

Reiki is not about healing in the sense that you will be completely cured of your depression or anxiety. It’s not like at the end of a session, everything about yourself has magically transformed into something better!

Reiki may help with these things but it does NOT heal all illnesses and diseases. What reiki does do is balance out whatever energy is wandering in your body.

Whether it’s too much or not enough, reiki can help restore balance to whatever flow of energy you have going on! If the energy in your body feels like it’s flowing very slowly, then Reiki can increase that flow and make things feel more uplifting for you.
