Shared Energies
At its most basic, a spiritual heart connection between two people is simply a two-way stream of spiritual energy that connects the heart chakras of two individuals.
It is of course so much more than just that.
The spiritual heart connection allows us to be exposed to the energies of someone else in a controlled, mediated manner.
This sharing of energy can be incredibly beneficial – after all, we cannot learn the karmic lessons required for our spiritual journey without being exposed to new energies from which to learn.
But it can also be damaging. We take on some of the energy transmitted over the heart connection and where those energies are negative we can be damaged spiritually and emotionally by them.
Love
Heart connections are very much associated with falling in love. In fact, when we do fall in love it is a sure sign of a heart connection as a matter of course.
Love can be thought of in spiritual terms as a deep understanding and appreciation of the energies that make the essence of a person.
It is important to note that we do not need to share the energies of the other person in order to fall in love with them.
Instead, we share these energies because we have fallen in love with them.
The reason we fell in love with them in the first place is likely due to the energetic harmonies allowed across the heart connection, though it is still largely an enigma.
Unity
Perhaps the most important property of the heart connection on a cosmic scale is the nurturing of unity within the conscious universe.
As a part of the universal ascension process, we all wish for oneness and unity with each other and the universe.
And one day we will all achieve this, returning our consciousness to the Source and contributing to the next evolutionary stage of the cosmos.
This has an effect on us as we develop heart connections as it fosters a feeling of unity with our fellow citizens of Earth.
Those who foster heart connections are often more generous, kind and considerate.
This is a product of our intuitive understanding – once exposed to the heart connection – of our oneness with each other.
That is, we recognise ourselves in every person whose energies we can experience.
And even when we break these heart connections – temporary as they often are – they leave upon us the marks of transformation and the experiences that will one day be absorbed into the universal consciousness of existence.
