Have you been asking God for something and nothing is happening? Do you pray every day but things still haven’t changed?

The key to God answering your prayers is faith.

Faith is about letting go of your prayers.

It is telling yourself that “whatever is meant to be will be. God knows best. If I’m meant to have it, I’ll have it. If not, that’s okay. All is well.”

Now, sometimes it can be hard to live by faith. After all, why would you ask God for help if you were okay with never getting His help?

Well, let me begin by saying that faith is not about giving up.

You are not giving up on God…or on your dreams.

Instead, you are acknowledging that everything is okay and it will continue to be so because God has your best interests at heart.

Faith is about remembering that there are only two things that you have to do to get God’s help: 1) pray and 2) receive.

Sometimes there are factors involved in God answering your prayer that you aren’t aware of when you pray to Him. These factors can prevent you from having your prayers instantly granted.

For example, if you asked God for help in getting a job, you also want a good employer who treats you well and pays you on time, you want a job that will last as long as you want it to, you want a job to match your skills , and so forth. These extra elements have to be created. And even though you may want a job right now, however long it takes for everything to come together is the exact amount of time needed for God to answer your prayer.

Also, remember that every time you begin to have doubts about whether God is listening, or feel anxious or impatient, you are telling God you don’t have faith that He’ll answer your prayer.

If you want God to answer your prayer, you have to have faith in God.

“But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering.” – James 1:6

Now, of course you want your prayer answered as soon as possible.

But you cannot look at your life and focus on how you still do not have what you want, because in doing so you are silently telling God that you don’t trust Him and He should leave things exactly as they are.

Instead, you need to look towards what you desire. You need to have faith that all will be well and that God is answering your prayer.

The happier and more expectant you feel that your prayer will be answered, the more faith you have that it will happen…

…the more faith you have in God.

Your goal is not to stop thinking about what you prayed for, but to feel good whenever you think about it.

Simply let go of all doubts about your prayer being answered.

Have faith in God.

“And the Lord said, If you had faith as a grain of mustard seed, you could say unto this sycamore tree, Be plucked up by the root, and be planted in the sea; and it would obey you.” – Luke 17:6
