4 tips to make it easier to deal with rejection — Follow Your Own Rhythm

We’ve all been rejected in one way or another at some point in our lives. Whether it was from a break up, getting fired from a job, a friend bailing on you… or smaller, everyday occurrences like people disagreeing with you or not liking your outfit, I think we can all agree that rejection is no fun.

As human beings, we have an innate desire to be loved and accepted by others, and when we get rejected, it makes us feel as if we are not lovable.  It makes us question our self-worth, and makes us think that we are inadequate in some way.

But I believe that it is only through being rejected, that we can REALLY learn the fundamental lesson it has to teach us, which is that…… what people think of us and how they treat us, has NOTHING TO DO WITH US. EVER.

Among the many ways that I have experienced rejection throughout my life, one of the most difficult ones by far was through heartbreak, which I believe is the most painful kind of rejection.  However, it is this rejection that taught me SO MANY lessons, which I want to share with you in today’s video.

IN THIS VIDEO WE ARE TALKING ABOUT:

  • Rejection and why it hurts so bad

  • The psychology behind rejection and why we take it personally

  • 4 tips and new perspectives that will help you deal with rejection easier so you can regain your confidence and feel good about yourself again
