Attract Friends & Deep Friendships

Sharing is caring!

Because feng shui is all about energy flow and enhancing your life through your home, it naturally follows that you can use feng shui to attract and nourish every relationship in your life – including friendships!

Whether you want to attract a new friendship, strengthen current friendships, or heal a broken friendship, feng shui can definitely help!

How to Use Feng Shui for Friendship

One of the first things you should do when using feng shui is getting clear on your intention.

Do you want to attract a new friendship? Do you want to heal a current friendship?

Do you want to get along better with coworkers? Do you want to boost a long-distance friendship?

Do you want to deepen current friendships?

Your intention is everything in feng shui.

Moving things around in your home with a specific purpose fuels all of your results.

Here’s how to do it!

feng shui for friendship

While there isn’t a specific feng shui friendship corner, there are specific areas of your home that relate to friendships and relationships. They are:

  • Your home’s feng shui love and relationship area
  • Your dining room
  • Your kitchen
  • Your living room, family room, or sitting room
  • Other areas you use for entertaining, like outdoor entertaining areas

When using feng shui for friendship, the first thing you want to do is look at these areas and make sure there isn’t anything in those areas that could be holding you back.

Feng Shui Relationships Area

The feng shui love and relationships area is usually mentioned with regards to romantic relationships, but it also relates to other relationships like friendships, relationships with coworkers, and even your relationship with yourself.

Whenever you want to work on any relationship in your life, whether strengthening or healing an existing friendship or attracting a new one, the love and relationship corner is the first place to look.

The relationship corner is the far back right 1/3 of your home, when standing at the front door, looking inside. (See this post for more information about how to find your home’s relationship area: how to use the feng shui bagua map.)

Look for things in this area that can cause issues, like:

  • Broken items
  • Clutter
  • Lots of unused items
  • Unfinished projects
  • Dirt, dust, and grime
  • Home improvement or home repairs that need to be done or finished
  • A room that is rarely used
  • Large windows or doors directly across from each other (or across from the front door)
  • Sad artwork
  • Dark, gloomy colors
  • Lots of bulky furniture
  • Items blocking doorways or walkways
  • Burnt out light bulbs or light fixtures that don’t work properly
  • Sad artwork
  • Pictures of you and friends that you no longer have a relationship with or speak to
  • Old pictures of you or your friends that reflect a time in your life you no longer relate to
  • Lots of cactus plants
  • A large fireplace
  • A closet stuffed with clutter
  • Dead or dying plants

Often when you look at this area you’ll find something that sticks out to you.

It might even become super obvious that something in this area is dragging down the energy.

Do what you can to organize it, refresh it, and uplift the energy.

If there are lots of broken items, fix them or get rid of them.

Make sure everything is clean and in good working condition.

If this is an area of the home that is often unused, like a guest bedroom, go in and give it a good cleaning and open the windows and doors to let in fresh Chi (life-force energy).

This can go a long way towards refreshing the energy in that area!

Communal/Entertaining Areas

Other places to consider when using feng shui for friendships are entertaining spaces.

These are areas of your home that are designed as shared spaces or areas where you would host others.

These areas are communal spaces in feng shui:

  • Dining rooms
  • Kitchens
  • Living rooms, family rooms, or sitting rooms
  • Outdoor entertaining spaces

Of course, you don’t have to give these areas a complete overhaul.

Just look at them with fresh eyes and see whether or not they are set up for entertaining.

Look for any of the items listed above to see if they exist in those areas.

Also, consider whether or not you would like to entertain guests in those spaces.

If there is something in those areas that you wouldn’t want guests to see, that can affect your friendships even if you aren’t inviting people over to your home on a regular basis!

Feng shui in our homes often reflects what is going on in our outer lives (and vice-versa) which is why feng shui is so powerful.

Your home doesn’t have to be magazine-worthy in order to attract good friendships.

It just needs to be somewhere that you feel comfortable.

If you have areas of your home that are neglected or…
