How to be happily alone and single after a breakup? 5 tips — Follow Your Own Rhythm

Going through a breakup can be extremely painful and difficult. We become so used to sharing our lives with someone, and then suddenly we’re all alone, harboring pain in our hearts, struggling to figure out what to do with ourselves. It doesn’t make it any easier that there is such a stigma around being alone and that society portrays it as sad and negative.

Our first instinct (besides drinking until we’re numb) is to find another partner to lean on, so that they can make us happy, take our pain away, and make us feel less lonely. But eventually we realize that those tactics don’t work because all we’re doing is distracting ourselves and running from our pain.

So then we are faced with the reality that we have to actually learn to be alone, at least if we’re serious about healing.

But we don’t just want to “learn to be alone” and be in some sort of survival mode, we want to LOVE being alone and learn how to THRIVE while being single. We want to actually learn how to be HAPPY with ourselves and with our lives, without needing a partner to fill the void.

This is a journey that I have personally undergone after my divorce so in today’s video I want to share 5 steps/tips with you on what to do after a breakup and how you can be HAPPILY single and alone!

I know a lot of us struggle with this even if we aren’t fresh out of a breakup, and I really hope to inspire you to find happiness in being alone (even if it’s just for the time being). I’m not advocating that you be single forever, but simply that you learn to be happy while you are.

Also, if you have recently experienced a breakup or are having a tough time being alone and dealing with the emotional pain, I am now offering one-on-one spiritual life coaching. So if you wanted some support and guidance on your journey, I’d love to work with you!
