Reiki is so healing and calming – don’t you wish that you could have Reiki at all points in your day?
What if you could? How much better would you feel?
I created a simple mediation story that helped me bring Reiki into my life and my day, as a conscious distant healing method that all Reiki practitioners can use. If you aren’t attuned to the three Reiki symbols, simply send Reiki Energy forward, with the simple intention of “Cleansing, Clearing, Releasing and Healing”.
Imagine yourself in an open, airy space outdoors, with bird song quiet in the background, light breeze rustling through the open leaves on the trees. A beautiful meadow with no one else around, calm and peaceful.
It’s a leisurely day for you, no cares in the world. It’s warm and sunny outside, not too hot, not too cold, just right to feel the warm of the sun beaming down on your head, shoulders and body.
You feel invited to stretch out on the green grass of this meadow. As you lay down on your back in the grass, palms facing upward, you feel the warmth of the earth reach up, enfold you within its grounding power, and encircle you within its quiet embrace.
As you enjoy this deep, calm connection with Mother Earth, you look up and see wondrous clouds moving by in the sky. Big, beautiful, fluffy clouds, all the shapes of the earth, and all the colours of the rainbow appear in these clouds.
Staring at these clouds fills you with peace, watching as they drift by you, pushed by the light breeze in the meadow. You start to focus on one cloud, this cloud seems drawn to you for a reason you can’t explain. Bring your full gaze to it, and describe in your mind how it looks to you.
What colour is your cloud? Is it a pure white cloud, tinged softly on the edges with a silver that ripples from light to dark? Is it a sunrise cloud, filled of promise and hope of the new day, mixes of bright purples and reds?
Is it a majestic raincloud, filled with powerful greys and indigos, sparkling with flashes of brilliant golden lightening?
Or is it a sunset cloud, filled with smoky greys, blues, yellows and purples, bursting with energy of the finished day and transitioning from day to twilight?
How big or small is it? Does it encompass the heavens, or would it fit into the palm of your hand?
Feel the connection between you and this cloud. Send it some love up there, in the vast sky all alone. Let it feel some of the love and amazement you have while gazing at this stunning example of creation.
Draw the Hon Sha Za Sho Nen (HZN) symbol in your mind, or with your hand. Say the words in your mind to invoke the symbol. Send this symbol into the cloud. Feel the cloud receive your offering of energy with gratitude, love and thanks of its own. Sense the Reiki energy sign being absorbed by the cloud. Feel the energy that this symbol brings to the cloud and your body.
