In some lifetimes, we incarnate with soul family members into the same family, so your son may have been your brother in a different life!
I have experienced this connection through hypnosis when I saw a lifetime where my son in the life was my older brother in a different life.
So yes, we incarnate into the same family, sometimes, and not with all the same members.
