Scorpio Season: A period for Growth

by Brenda Garfias-Guzman

Beginning October 23rd to November 22nd, Scorpio season begins to take place. Both a water and fixed sign, Scorpios are passionate and creative Beings. I admire their patience and dedication to make their goals into a reality because Scorpios take as much time as they need – and the results are worth the wait! Once you build a connection with a Scorpio, they become one of the most reliable and honest friends out there. (Don’t forget to remind a Scorpio how wonderful they are!)

Scorpios are considered as “put together” individuals, which is why they also tend to be very private – especially when it comes to their emotions. They also tend to hold on to negative emotions more and can possibly hold grudges for a longer period of time. That’s not to say that they are unaware of themselves – Scorpios are highly in tune with their emotions, and are aware that they can hold grudges. They are wise to give it more time until the grudge goes away.

This will be a time for emotional growth – if you choose for it to be. Here are suggestions to incorporate this season:

Get Curious and Honest with yourself.

And search for answers. This is a good time to not only get curious about your surroundings or different perspectives but also having curiosity towards yourself. Are you the same person you were a year ago? What has changed about you? Are you in your comfort zone? Are you managing stress if you have any? Make sure to check in on yourself and reflect to see if you’re living to your fullest, genuine self.

Make Peace with the Past, patiently.

Allowing yourself to stay in a rut by repeating the past in your mind does not help you move forward. If you feel that you can’t let go of particular things that you have gone through, ask yourself “have I been allowing myself to feel my situation?” Sometimes, we haven’t made peace with things because we haven’t allowed ourselves the proper length of time to feel upset or hurt. The reality too is, there is not set time to when a person can stop feeling angry or sad.

Get Vulnerable

Scorpio’s passion reminds us that feeling is an experience, and no feeling should go unnoticed. It’s ok to listen to a song that is sentimental and significant to the point you let out some tears. Allow yourself to feel mad at someone and write expressive poetry about them (showing them is optional!) as well as letting yourself dance because you’re in a fantastic mood! Spend time with friends and enjoy their company to the fullest extent! Feel.

“Passion… Knowing exactly what you want and stopping at nothing until you get it.”
