Family Reiki Box Project

This past month, I started a project for my family, that I’ve been planning for some time. I gave each of us a special box, slips of paper, pen, and explained a Reiki Box’s purpose. Then each of us was allowed to write down anything that we wanted to receive Reiki energy. Such as, personal goals, events, intentions, wishes, or other people.

My personal Reiki Box is wooden with a large brass inlay shaped like a heart. I knew I wanted Reiki boxes for my husband and son and wanted the boxes to have a unity of design. I found a large wooden heart-shaped box for my son at a thrift store. Months later, I happened upon a heart-shaped box made of soapstone with an inlay of mother of pearl. Once I had found three boxes, all with a heart motif, and each different enough to represent our individual personalities, I began the Reiki Box Project.

My Reiki teacher gave each of her students a piece of Icelandic Spar to place in our Reiki boxes. She stated that this crystal was used for focused energy and was perfect for placing in with our paper intentions. I placed pieces of Icelandic Spar in each of our boxes.

Then I let my husband and son know that they boxes were ready and they placed their slips of paper inside. Additionally, I’ve placed pieces of paper with Cho Ku Rei, Sei He Ki, Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen and Dai Ko Myo. I Reiki the boxes everyday. I use Reiki energy on each box individually and then stack them one on top of each other and use Reiki on all three at the same time.

I haven’t read any of their slips of paper, so that they can feel secure in knowing that their requests are private and personal. I do ask, once a week, if they want to make any changes or updates.

So far, the feedback has been really positive. My husband said, “Wow, things are really happening and I know it’s that Reiki Box. It’s just too much of a coincidence that all of these things have started happening after I placed my piece of paper in the box. I can feel the energy and it’s pretty amazing.”
