Are you looking for a new job?
Are you thinking about switching careers?
Are you getting ready for a job interview and need some good luck?
Feng shui for getting a job may seem like a stretch, but it’s not!
Feng shui is actually amazing for helping you any time you’d like to make a change in your life.
Here are some feng shui tips for getting a new job!
Two Easy Feng Shui Tips for Getting a Job:
When it comes to using feng shui for getting a job there are two things that will help above all others:
One: Set Your Intention.
If you don’t have intention behind your job search, it will be a lot harder for the Universe to send you what you want.
Intention and clarity are key!
If you don’t know exactly what you’re looking for, you can be more general with your intention such as:
I intend to attract a job in _ field by ___ date, making ___ per month.
Or if you need to go even more general and you don’t care what kind of job you get: I intend to attract a job that makes _ per hour.
Another way to focus your intention on getting a new job is to create a feng shui vision board.
You can create a career vision board that concentrates on how you want to feel, look, and be in your job.
This is especially helpful if you want to switch careers to an entirely different field.
Find all of the pictures you can that create the feeling you’re looking for in a new job.
What you’ll wear, what you’ll do every day, what supplies you’ll need to work — anything you can think of that will go towards helping you visualize what your future job will look like.
Then create a career vision board. Click here to learn how to create a feng shui vision board!
You can even take your vision/intention statement and put it on the back of your vision board.
Keep your board in you home’s career area, or in the career area of another room and let the Universe get to work on your behalf!
Two: Declutter.
Again, clarity is key.
Clutter is anything in your life that gets in between you and your dreams.
When it comes to feng shui, your home is your vision board.
And you’ll find as you go through your home and the bagua, that clutter tends to pile up in the areas that you usually struggle in outside of your home.
So if you’re ready to clear the way for the career of your dreams, go through your home and look for these things:
- Clutter
- Things you don’t use anymore
- Things that relate to your old job or old life that you’re ready to move past (old pictures, old mementos of past jobs or relationships, old clothes)
- Broken items
- Home repairs that need to be done
- Unfinished projects
Look for these things in each room in your home. The more you can clear out and make space for your new job, the better! Plus having these things in order will free up your energy so that when you do get the new job, you can concentrate on it and not everything that needs to be done in your home!
Now let’s go through each area of your home that relates to getting a new job.
Here are tips for each area!
Do NOT get overwhelmed.
Pick one thing at a time and give it a chance to work!
Trust me, you won’t have to do each of the things in order for feng shui to help you get a new job.
You’ll find that a lot of times you’ll get what you want WELL before you’ve even finished one thing on the list!
The Universe works fast when you’re ready and committed.
Feng Shui Bagua Areas that Relate to Your Career
In feng shui, your entire home relates to your life outside of your home. But there are also specific areas of your home that relate to your career:
- Career
- Fame/Reputation
- Knowledge/Spirituality
- Travel/Helpful People
- Wealth
- Front Door/Home Entrance

You can use feng shui in each of these areas of your home to help you attract a new job.
Again, pick one or two tips and try them!
You don’t have to do them all in order to attract a new job. Just a few will help!
Activate the Career Area by:
One: Add black and/or blue
Black and blue are water element colors and the colors that activate your home’s career area.
You can add them as accent colors, as decor items, or even just line drawers in this area with blue or black paper.
You can also place the colors under objects in this area – it doesn’t have to be visible in order to work!
Two: Add a water feature.
Again, water is the element that rules the career area.
You can add a small desktop fountain or a fish tank to this area to represent your new job flowing to you!
Make sure the water flows “into” the room.
You can also add a photo of water if you don’t want to add a water…
