6 feng shui front porch tips for attracting great Chi!

Sharing is caring!

In feng shui, the outside of your home is just as important as the inside of your home.

Energetically, everything connected to your home affects you in one way or another.

The closer something is to you, the more it’s going to affect you.

So the places you spend the most time will affect you the most.

But the outside of your home is interesting because Chi (life force energy) has to pass through the exterior of your home in order to enter.

This is where feng shui front porch tips come into play!  If you have a front porch on your home, here’s how to use feng shui to increase the positive Chi!

6 feng shui porch tips for attracting great Chi!

How do I feng shui my front porch? 6 easy tips!

One: The first rule of good front porch feng shui is that everything is kept neat, tidy, and in good working order.

This is one of the most important things you can do for the energy entering your home because you want it to have a clear, clean path to enter!

Keep your porch swept and free of cobwebs, dirt, and grime.

And if anything is broken or in disrepair, fix it to the best of your ability.

Clear away the clutter as much as possible and start with a clean slate!

Two: Does your front porch make you smile?

Think about how you feel about your front porch.

Front porch feng shui ultimately comes down to how YOU feel about your home and porch.

If you have a lot of negative feelings towards it, that is the feeling the Chi is being greeted with every time it tries to enter your home!

If you’re really working on attracting new opportunities, more abundance, new relationships, or anything else, those manifestations are having to pass through your front porch and front door in order to get to you.

Now that doesn’t mean you have to give your front porch an entire overhaul in order to have good feng shui.

What it does mean is that you should tackle one or two things that really bother you and try to turn your negative feelings into at least neutral.

Your front porch and your front door are really important when it comes to attracting good fortune and new opportunities into your life.

It’s also one of the first things you notice about your home when you’re driving up or entering your home from the front.

You want it to be a good experience for you and the Chi you’re attracting into your life!

Even just adding a pop of color to your porch with a plant or new doormat can go a long way towards welcoming fresh Chi!

Three:  Speaking of welcome mats, everything associated with your front door also affects the feng shui of your porch.

Four:  Where does your front porch fall in terms of the feng shui bagua map?

The feng shui bagua map is the map of your home that shows you which areas of your home correlate to the different areas of your life.

In Western feng shui, the bottom of the bagua map aligns with the front door, which means your front porch should fall into either the knowledge/spirituality area, the career area, or the travel/helpful people area.

Whichever area is directly connected to your front porch is basically considered a “bonus” area.

So if your front porch is connected to the entire front side of your home, you have extra of all three areas to work with!

You can also use the feng shui bagua map on your porch individually, and place enhancements like you would an individual room in your home.

Things to consider when you’re thinking about the feng shui bagua map and your front porch:

Do you find that the feelings you have about your front porch are similar to the feelings you have about those areas of your life?

For example, if your porch feels run down, broken, or just tired and dirty, and it connects to your career area, do you find that you feel stuck at your job, that things never seem to go right, or that you have to go through a lot of problems in order for things to get accomplished?

Often what is going on with our homes can directly correlate with what’s going on in our lives.

But because the front porch also directly affects energy and new opportunities, it can reflect all sorts of things happening in your life.

Think of your front porch (and front door) as the first impression of your entire life and you can see how it affects you energetically!

Five: What color should your front porch be according to feng shui

What about feng shui colors for your front porch?

In Western feng shui, you don’t have to worry so much about what color is best where, so there isn’t a specific color recommended for your front porch.

I recommend using a color you love that goes with the overall aesthetic of your home.

If you go with a neutral color,…
